ALLOY STEEL

Alloy Steel Round Bars are engineered for applications that demand superior strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Produced with carefully balanced alloy compositions and controlled heat treatment, these steels deliver excellent mechanical performance, fatigue resistance, and machinability for critical engineering components.

Grade Primary Characteristic Typical Applications
1018 Low-carbon, high-ductility. Bushings, pins, and shafts requiring easy welding and forming.
1020 General-purpose carburizing steel. Lightly stressed parts and case-hardened components.
4140 Chromium-Molybdenum high-strength steel. Gears, bolts, and axle shafts; excellent toughness and fatigue strength.
4330 Premium Nickel-Chromium-Moly alloy. High-impact aerospace and oilfield tools requiring extreme toughness.
4340 The ultimate deep-hardening alloy. Heavy-duty crankshafts and landing gear; maintains strength in large sections.

Available Heat Treatment Conditions

To save you time in downstream processing, we offer these grades in specific metallurgical states:

  • Normalized: Air-cooled to refine grain structure and relieve internal stresses, providing uniform hardness and improved machinability.
  • Quenched & Tempered (QT): Heat-treated to specific hardness levels (e.g., 28-32 HRC) to achieve the perfect balance of high tensile strength and impact resistance.
